Florida-bound: Come Meet with Verinovum at ViVE or HIMSS22
March is an exciting month for Verinovum, as we’ll be attending two of healthcare IT’s signature conferences in Florida, starting with ViVE (March 6-9) in Miami Beach and then heading up to Orlando the following week (March 14-18) for HIMSS22. We’ll be discussing the importance of reliable data in actualizing the promises of big tech to revolutionize healthcare.
HIMSS, of course, needs no introduction, having long served as the premier conference for healthcare IT. It’s back to its normal March time slot after pulling the plug on the 2020 conference due to the COVID-19 outbreak and holding last year’s conference as a hybrid in-person/virtual event in August. You may have seen us there, networking with key players in healthcare data, chatting with John Lynn of Healthcare Scene, or even relaxing with friends and colleagues at TopGolf.
ViVE, on the other hand, is new to us, and to the industry at large. The inaugural event will fuse together the HLTH and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) conferences under a new brand. “Diving into Deep Data” and “Paint by Numbers: Connecting the Data Dots” are among the themes for a conference that made a bold move sharing the month of March with its more established competition. Perhaps the addition of a performance by Wyclef Jean will help sweeten the deal and pique interest in the event.
Both conferences will be filled with HIT vendors showcasing solutions and complicated algorithms that make bold promises about transforming healthcare. Some of them may very well deliver on their lofty claims. But none of them do anyone any good unless they can vouch for the quality of the data they rely on to work.
As we often point out, only about 14% of all clinical data is actionable, due to the complexity of healthcare, the wide array of vendors and rules, and obsolete processes. Put simply, healthcare data today is a jumble of inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, and redundant information. Furthermore, new rules under the federal 21st Century Cures Act will require providers and payers to make high-quality patient data shareable with those patients.
Verinovum’s data curation and enrichment process makes nearly 89% of clinical data actionable to help payers, providers, and other healthcare stakeholders better measure and improve clinical outcomes, boost efficiency, lower costs, and spur innovation.
If you’ll be at ViVE or HIMSS, we’d love to meet and discuss your unique challenges obtaining reliable, high-quality data, and how we can help. You can request an in-person meeting with a Verinovum representative at the following links:
We look forward to seeing you in Florida!
